I am an avid birdwatcher living in NJ (USA) since 1978, I work in NY and travel all over the world. That’s me with the bag (although you can hardly tell) at the canopy walk in Monteverde in Costa Rica.
I have been birding since sometime in the late 80s. I take my bins with me everywhere. I have had the good fortune to bird in many states (mostly while on business trips. Very nice.) and some foreign countries. If you see me, stop and say Hi.
My life list in the US is over 600. My abroad list is in disarray. I started to track it more effectively in Clements, but I have to tell you it is complicated and difficult. There are lots of little pieces of paper with lists on them from my travels.

I finished typing up the story… there are still so many I’ve got to find in a word document somewhere, and others hand written. Thanks for asking for the end of the story.
