This part of the trail is in the Wallkill, over by Oil City Road, Orange County NY. Do you see the white trail mark on the first tree on the right? That tells you that its the Appalachia Trail. Have you ever hiked in the woods?
Although the forest looks lifeless, there was birdsong in the air. Shhhh, can you hear it? Chickadees, Titmice, Song Sparrows and in the distance a woodpecker was drumming.
