Yes, I know it’s really a Tri-colored, but when I started birding this was a Louisiana Heron and lo and behold here I am in Louisiana and I saw one at City Park in New Orleans.

I remember when they were Louisiana Herons too. Makes me feel old. Or it means I have been birding a long time. 🙂
I have a nest of these birds in the oak tree in front of my house. The chicks are about three weeks old. The can be seen at my address. 136 East Casa Calvo St. Chalmette, La. 70043. There’s another younger nest thirty feet away next door in my naeghbors oak tree.
