I like all doves. I saw this one is Arizona. One of the ground’s workers at the hotel saw me looking at birds, he sidled over and whispered “Tórtola”, then pointed. Tucked under a bush in the shade was this tiny Common Ground Dove. I love the dried flower petals too.
Beautiful picture! My brother-in-law has a dove nest in their hanging plant on the patio every year. The plant dies and she just stays there. When she leaves they water the plant, it revives, ready for the dove again!
The soft innocence of these birds has always appealed to me. Don’t tell anyone, but I am rather fond of Mourning Doves.

We had a dove nest several years ago in a hanging plant in our carport. Not the best place.
I agree, the feathers are just beautiful, not only in texture, but in color/design.
