Bird Photography Weekly

red-necked-grebe

The first time I saw Red-necked Grebes was in April 1994 at Round Valley Reservoir in NJ.  My notes say it was cold (in capital letters with an exclamation point).  I wonder how cold it could have really been in April, but let’s skip over that shall we?  It was bird 112 on my nascent life list.

  1. Great photo!

And thanks for not sharing how cold it was in April. I’m still dealing with November.

  2. Great shot of a lovely water bird.

  3. I still have not seen a grebe in my life. Pity because they are so beautiful and noble.

  4. I’m with scienceguy — only seen them in pictures so far. Great shot, Bev!
